Kitchen Makeover!

Since I don't own a home and I rent an apartment I live vicariously
through my friends when it comes to home improvement projects.

So, when my friend Amanda e-mailed me over the weekend with a
few pictures of the work in progress on their kitchen makeover I immediately
told her to PLEASE send me more!!!!! She of course obliged :)

So here are a few before pictures...

And here is the after...

Why hello there you gorgeous gray!
And buenos dias you crisp white back-splash!
What's that? A terracotta color on the walls? I die.

Here are the changes that were made:
  • Fresh coat of paint on the walls and the cabinets
  • Reglazed back-splash, sink and countertops
  • Spray painted hinges
  • New handles/knobs
Okay, I need to see some more pictures of this delicious makeover...

Here are the paint colors:

  • Wall color = Valspar Florentine Clay
  • Cabinet color = Valspar Semi Sweet
  • Cabinet paint = Behr "Porch & Floor"
  • Spray painted hinges = Rustoleum's Hammered Dark Bronze
Total cost of the makeover?
Under $500!

I think it looks absolutely amazing! And I love those color together!

What do you guys think?

P.S. - I have to tell you what Amanda said in her initial
e-mail to me about her kitchen...Her words exactly were:
"So, since I don't have a blog, I'm just sending YOU my before and afters!
After all, this is all your fault ;) That owl of yours has created a monster in me..."

I thought y'all would get a kick out of that!
Happy Wednesday y'all! :)

Oh, and don't forget to check out my blog sale here.
I'm only keeping the items active until Friday night!

  2. Amazing! That's so inspiring to hear that she did that for under $500. I'm going to be creating a studio soon and have been stressing over how I'll afford to decorate it but this has made me feel hopeful. They did a GORGEOUS job :)

  9. ok I have to ask... what did she do to reglaze her sink and countertop? My counter is in sore need of help and I like the idea, but not sure what she did!
