Bedroom Inspiration

Since I gave you a home tour yesterday I thought I needed to share some bedroom
inspiration with y'all as well - you know, since the bedroom is the spot you want to
feel the most relaxed.  It's the place you want to feel the most comfortable & at home.

So, here are a few bedrooms that I could completely relax in...

After looking at these photos I'll need to wipe the drool off my face.
You'll excuse me right?  I thought so.

New digs

As promised, here are a few pictures of my new place.  This is before we actually
moved in, but the clean slate gives you an idea of what I have to work with.  As soon
as I can get completely settled (will that ever happen?) then I will post photos of the decor :)

My new home is a loft located in the historic district of Montgomery, called Cloverdale.
The loft sits above a group of shops, boutiques and restaurants and I am quickly falling in
love with my new digs.  Can you blame me though?  Take a look inside my new home...

View from the living room looking upstairs to my bedroom
The beautiful kitchen that has an amazing amount of counter space. I swoon. I die.
Awful photo, but this is the light fixture in the dining room.
Another awful photo - this is the view looking down from the balcony into the living room.
View looking into my bedroom. Double doors. Huge window.
Hold on while I pick myself up off the floor.
And the creme de la creme - my bathroom.
I am giddy about the amount of counter space and storage space.

That's the home tour for now - until I can get completely situated.
Although, every time I get done unpacking one space it seems the boxes multiply
while I don't have my eye on them.  Those sneaky boxes.  I'll catch them one day ;)

Bundles of Joy

With one of my dearest friends carrying a little bun in the oven, I can't help but have
nurseries on my mind.  I mean, decorating & babies?  Somebody help me now.

I know that she will want to keep the nursery a gender-neutral space - see I know
you all to well Katie!  And the great thing about nurseries (or any space for that matter)
is that there are so many things you can do yourself to personalize the space.
So, here are a few nurseries I thought would be right up her (and my) alley...

My favorite is the last image - swoon!  Would you decorate your baby nursery
according to the gender of the child?  Or would you go a more modern route
and make the space a gender neutral nook for your little nugget?

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  We spent ours in the boyfriend's
hometown attending the wedding shower of one of his dear friends.  I think
every time we turn around we have another friend getting married or engaged.
Here's to wedding season being in full swing!

A little bling

Recently, Groupon had a great deal at a local boutique - and I snatched it up quickly!
Being new to the Montgomery area I had never been to Hue Studio...but I sure am glad
that I found this little gem of a shop!  They have items from home decor to accessories.

I limited myself to two pair of earrings and a pomegranate & currant candle that smells
like sheer heaven!  Although, I probably could have bought everything in the store :)

If you are in the Montgomery area you have to visit this sweet little shop!
And if you do visit...I'd be more than happy to join you!

The sky is falling

Remember when I mentioned that my car was totaled?
Well, it wasn't totaled (thank goodness)...but there was about $4,000 worth of damage.

And now it's story time...

About midway through the reception of my good friend Katherine's wedding a few weeks
ago, I heard my boyfriend and one of my friend's husband's talking about something that
caught my attention.  "What are y'all talking about?" I asked.  I shouldn't have asked.
It was one of those moments where I should have just minded my own business.
I will never learn.

At that point my friend Samantha turns and says, "You might as well tell her.
She's going to find out."  My eyes immediately shift to my boyfriend and I have a
look on my face like "What the heck did y'all do?"  And so he begins to tell me...

Him : "So you know where you parked your car at my place?"
Me: "Yes..."
Him : "Well, you know that building that you parked next to?"
Me : "Yes..."
Him : "Well, uhhh....It, ummm...it collapsed.  On your car."
Me : "Uh, what?"

I found out that my boyfriend received a call earlier that day while I was at the
hair salon and had told our friends, but never let on to me what had happened.
So, without further ado here are more pictures of what a car looks like with a ton of bricks on it...

The good part is that no one was hurt - except my poor car of course.
And she is looking better than ever these days! Now if I could just keep the pollen off of her :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!  Are y'all as ready for the weekend as I am?
Since the weather is getting nicer, do y'all have any fun outdoor plans this weekend?

Eleven million years later

Top - Gap
Jeans - American Eagle
Silk hair scarf - Vintage, thrifted
Purple scarf - Local pharmacy (I know, right?)
Shoes - Target

Okay, so I'm definitely not doing the 30 for 30 Winter edition anymore, but this photo
has been sitting here and since I found internet I thought I would share with you my 11th
outfit from the Winter challenge.  Maybe once things settle down I can do another 30 for 30 :)

The weather here is simply gorgeous!  I only wish I weren't enjoying it from inside.
I hope y'all are able to get out and enjoy the weather for me!

Quick hello {to paint}

Hi there.
I wanted to make sure y'all knew I was still living and haven't forgotten about my little blog,
nor my sweet sweet readers!  I have simply been overloaded and I haven't had internet - yikes!

So, I wanted to drop a line :)

Also, I'm working on a few little home decor projects - you know, new place and all.
So here are two paint colors I've chosen to use on a few pieces of furniture...

I can't wait to show you all pictures of my new place!
I also can't wait to get situated in my new digs and decorate the be-Jesus out of it.
That's right.  I just said be-Jesus.  Which means I am serious about this decorating thing.

Be back soon to share all this juicy decorating :)

P.S. - It feels good to be back on the blog!  I've missed it so.
