Fond of Furbish

A few months ago I discovered the store Furbish and can't believe I had never come across this gem of a shop before.  They carry a little bit of everything: home decor items, furniture, jewelry, kitchen items, etc.  I have quite a few items on my radar.  Shocking, right?  A girl who has more than a handful of things she wants.  Well, since I can't resist - Here are some of the items that caught my eye...

Overdue Trunk Show Details

I know, you are probably in shock because I'm posting.  No, it is not a figment of your imagination - this is me actually posting.  Hold on to your panties ladies, I have a feeling I'm going to be posting a lot more.  I've missed you guys!

Stella & Dot Stylist

For the past two years I have toyed with the idea of becoming a Stella & Dot stylist.  When I was living in Huntsville it just never seemed to work out - I worked odd and long hours and was always gone on the weekends, which didn't leave me much time to devote to being a stylist.

Well, ladies and gentlemen.  I took the plunge and I am so excited to say that I am now a Stella & Dot stylist!  This is a company that I back completely - they are ethical, supportive and their product is FABULOUS.  It seems that I came in at a perfect time, too!  Their Spring 2012 line just came out and OH MY GOODNESS (enter valley girl voice here) it is absolutely stunning.

As I was browsing Anthropologie recently there were a few items that tickled my fancy.

A little bling



Recently, Groupon had a great deal at a local boutique - and I snatched it up quickly!

Being new to the Montgomery area I had never been to Hue Studio...but I sure am glad

that I found this little gem of a shop!  They have items from home decor to accessories.

I limited myself to two pair of earrings and a pomegranate & currant candle that smells

like sheer heaven!  Although, I probably could have bought everything in the store :)

If you are in the Montgomery area you have to visit this sweet little shop!

And if you do visit...I'd be more than happy to join you!

The second I saw these necklaces I fell.  Hard.  I swoon.  I die.

Seriously, could these get any more adorable?  I think not.

DIY Jewelry Holder Tutorial!

I have tons of jewelry and a lovely jewelry box to hold it all in (thanks to the boyfriend),

but it recently started to get a bit crowded in there so I decided I would make

a jewelry holder for my "play" jewelry and keep my nice stuff in the pretty jewelry box :)

I decided to go with a cheery yellow for mine!  I wanted to add a bit of color to my

neutral bathroom and thought this would give it the "pop" that I was going for!

Here is what you'll need to make one of your own:

                                 - Large picture frame (Remember when I got mine for $1 ?)

                                 - Chicken wire or garden wire (mine was $8 for 5 feet of wire)

                                 - Staple gun

                                 - Wire cutter

Instructions:

1.  After you've painted your picture frame the color of your choice, take your

chicken/garden wire and using your wire cutter cut the wire so that there is

excess wire to staple down on the sides of the frame.

2.  Staple the wire down to the back of your frame like so...

I stapled mine about every 4 inches to make sure it was secure.

Except for in this picture when I went a little staple crazy :)

(disregard the paper that accidently got stuck to the back of the frame!)

3. Take a look at your new jewelry holder!  Yes, it was that easy!!

Oh, and what do we have here? Could that be my new stella & dot earrings?

Why yes it is!  And don't they look adorable?

I can't wait to put my new jewelry holder to good use!
