On my way...

I wouldn't normally write about this, but I could use some words of encouragement...

I have several special events coming up in the next few months and I am to the point
where I am not thrilled with my waistline...nor am I happy about that little number
that appears on the tag inside my clothing.  Ugh, size 10? Really?  I was a size 4 two years ago!
(Side note: I'm only 5' 3" tall!!)

I have recently started committing to going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and
really watching my calorie intake.  I am TIRED of trying on clothing only to have a
major meltdown in the fitting room...

This past weekend I tried on a bridesmaid dress for my dear friend Katherine's wedding.
A toothpick sized girl measured me...in my bra and underwear!
Hello thumbalina, nice to meet you.  I am the Michelin man.

Oh, that measuring tape isn't long enough?
By all means, announce my measurements as loud as possible.

Okay, that's enough for now...Why am I writing this?
I need to keep myself motivated and on track and by posting these little tidbits on here
I can keep myself accountable.  So thank you to whoever is reading this!
Do any of you ever feel like this?  I will make sure to keep you posted on my (hopefully) success.

And thank you my bloggy friends for putting up with me and this random post today :)
Off to the gym to reclaim my waistline!

If there is anyone else out there that has these same thoughts
and feelings I found some inspiring words of encouragement here!

  2. Aren't you a doll for sharing this. Makes me feel like I'm not alone. In fact, I'm right there with you in size and height! ;) Only I was a 4 about 4 years ago. haha. I'm having trouble getting up and actually doing something - though I think you've inspired me! Thanks!!
