Recipe: Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Bars!

Recipe via Betty Crocker®

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup firm butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup {I used light corn syrup instead}
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted, cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips {I used the mini kind}
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions:

Pre-heat oven to 350º F.  In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick mix and powdered sugar.
Cut in firm butter, using a pastry blender, until crumbly.
Press firmly in the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.  Bake 15 minutes; Cool.

In a large bowl, beat eggs, corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla with spoon until smooth.
Stir in chocolate chips and pecans {I even added some Heath Bar crumbles!}.
Pour over crust.  Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown & set.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours until chocolate is firm. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.
Enjoy!

These are the perfect treat with a big tall glass of milk!  And only 150 calories per bar!
They are super easy, too!  The perfect make ahead dessert for the holidays.
And it would be delicious nuked in a microwave with vanilla ice cream on top.
Mmmmmmm...I bet you want one right now, don't you? :)
