Got picture frames?

I've known about this website for a while now
and it has been my little decorating secret.
Now its time to share it with you!

Vintage Printable is an awesome website that allows you to print off these great vintage prints for FREE!!!!

Here are some of the prints I love...

I have this first one hanging in my bedroom in this awesome rustic
wood frame I picked up at Hobby Lobby (love me some Hobby Lobby!)

and I love the chocolate brown in this one!

This nest is so simple and feminine. LOVE!

And I love the different shades of taupe, blue & green in this one...

These type letters are fabulous!
I'm semi-obsessed with typography :)
(I'll have to post pictures of my giant typewriter art)

I think this lemon print would look great in a kitchen.
Maybe even my friend Katie's soon-to-be revamped kitchen...

And a little something for St. Patrick's day!

Vintage Printable has so many different types of prints from
fruits and vegetables to every type of animal you could imagine!

You might even try printing your favorite ones out and
putting some mod podge on it to make it look like
there are brush strokes on the print.
I'll have to give it a try too!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!
I'll be heading to spin class tomorrow after work...
Don't worry I bought myself a nice, soft seat cover  :)

Is it Friday yet? And a before & after!

It's only Tuesday and I'm already ready for the weekend...

At least I have two things to look forward to this week:
1) Spin class on Thursday!
2) Seeing my wonderful boyfriend! (This is actually #1)

Ok, so I'm about to tell you something...something I NEVER tell anyone.

My WEIGHT!
Ahhhh!!!!!

Ok, I'm just going to come on out with it...I weigh..148 lbs.
Ok, it's out there.  No taking it back now.
I want to get down to 120 lbs by June 19th (which is one of my best friend's engagement party)
So, on my journey to my goal weight I'll be updating my weight loss on here once a week or so.
I will definitely need words of encouragement!

By the way, if you decide to take spin class BEWARE that your butt will be sore!  I'm not talking butt muscles necessarily...I'm talking my butt feels like there's a bruise on it from where I was sitting on the seat.  I don't dare look to see if there actually is one...

Ok, so on to a project I did a few months ago that I think is fabulous!
I wanted to rearrange my bedroom since I live in an apartment and I can't paint my walls (ugh!).

I got this chest of drawers on Craigslist for only $20...

(Sorry I got anxious and already took the knobs off!)

Thank goodness I'm able to look beyond the scratched wood and faded drawers...

I love the detail on the bottom...

I wanted to do it a blue-ish green - like in between seafoam green and robin's egg blue and...

TA-DA!!

So much easier on the eyes :)
Kinda blurry, but I spray painted the knobs with silver spray paint...

Just lovely!

Looking at these pictures makes me want
to paint another piece of furniture...
Hmmm... :)

I'm actually working on a little project right now.
I'm an excellent multi tasker.
Be looking for the tutorial and pictures from it later this week!

Keep pedaling!!!

After counting down the hours today until my first spin class I can finally say...

I LOVE SPINNING!!!!!!

What a fun and exciting work out!  I have never sweat that much in my entire life...I mean NEVER!  I am so excited that I've found such an intense work out that I like so much.  Please remind me of this when I am so sore tomorrow I'm unable to walk!

It was an hour long class of constant motion...

Some notes:
1.  Bring a bigger water bottle - You WILL drink all of it!
2.  Bring a towel - You WILL definitely sweat A LOT!
3.  Bring a good attitude - It makes all the difference in the world :)

As I was sweating profusely I kept telling myself, "You can do this!  Just keep pedaling!"

With those words in mind, it got me thinking about how those words transfer over to our everyday lives. Sometimes I find myself thinking, "How am I going to get through this?".

Those words I continued to tell myself tonight while pedaling on my stationary bike are the exact words we should repeat to ourselves when we encounter a bump in the road (no pun intended).

So remind yourself often that you can do this and all you have to do is just keep pedaling...

You spin me right round, baby right round

Great work out today!  I really pushed myself which made the work out so much better and made me feel so much better knowing that me pushing myself is going to give me the most out of my work outs.

Tomorrow I'm going to be a brave dog and try out spin class.  I always get nervous going into new aerobics classes, but I'm guessing almost everyone does (or maybe it is just me...).  I'm going to try and push myself to my workout limit (without going overboard) because I know that's the only way I'm going to lose weight.

I posted a question on Facebook on whether or not I should try spin class and I got an overwhelming reply of YES!!! So, I am pretty excited about it now and remaining optimistic :)

On another note, I'm ready for the rain to stop.  I think my dog Maddie is getting cabin fever.  And that drives me crazy!

I'll update on my spin class experience tomorrow...

Spring Forward

Time to Spring forward!  I can't stand losing an hour, but I love that this time change has my mind on SPRING!

With my mind buzzing with thoughts of spring dresses, sandals and sunshine I thought I would share some of Spring items I've had my eye on...

(Denim Cut-off Shorts at J. Crew)

I love these denim shorts from J. Crew.  These would be a great Spring and Summer staple to pair with a cotton tee, a lightweight cardigan and some cute sandals.

(Jersey Tube Sundown Gown at Old Navy)

(Chandani Elephant Charms Necklace at Shop Ruche)

I'm in desperate need of a black Summer dress that's comfortable and versatile like this one!  I would pair it with some wedges or gold sandals and a long gold necklace with a pendant or charms like this one.
(Miss Sixty 'Sloan' Sandal at Nordstrom)

I adore these tan leather wedges!  They are the perfect height for a little lift, but won't kill your feet if your walking or standing for any length of time.

(Grasslands Dress at Anthropologie)

(Sun Dot Dress at Anthropologie)

(Snow-Covered Fields Dress at Anthropologie)

(Stamp Art Dress at Anthropologie)

I can't get enough of these dresses!  If only I had an unlimited budget...

On the subject of Spring and clothing...I'm trying to lose some weight.  I don't consider myself big, but I'm definitely not as small like I used to be.  So this Spring I will be kicking into high-gear to lose some pounds and inches.  I just want to feel comfortable in anything I choose to wear...and not feel like I'm wearing maternity clothing.

I'm a size 8 right now which is depressing when a year and a half ago I was wearing a size 4.  I was out of town two weeks ago and the day I got back I got sick for a week so I haven't been able to workout.  But this coming week will be the beginning of my workout and weight loss extravaganza!!

I've been doing zumba - which is this AWESOME aerobics class inspired by Latin dance.  It totally kicks my butt just about every time...and I love it!  If you haven't tried it, you definitely need to!  So, i'll be doing that twice a week and working out another 2 or 3 days a week doing weights and either another aerobics class or some other form of cardio.

I really need someone or something to keep me motivated and help me maintain my enthusiasm about working out and getting trim...So my dearest blog, you are it!

Time to hit the sack and get my mind and body motivated for a great workout tomorrow...wish me luck!

P.S. - I have a few projects I'm going to be doing in the next week that I'm really excited about! :)

Here goes nothing...

Well, this is the start to my blog.  I've been contemplating starting one for a while and I finally got up the courage to actually do it!

I've always loved to write...and believe me, I always have a lot to say :)

Lately, I've taken up sewing and I've found that I love it!  I just don't have as much time for it as I would like.

I think blogging will be a great way for me to get out all my thoughts, ideas and creativity...so, we'll see where this leads.

By the way, I'm ready for summer.  I never thought I would say that I'm ready for hot, humid, 100 plus degree weather -but I am!  Come on bbq's, baking in the sun, lake time and actually being able to go outdoors without 10 layers of clothing on!

This is the little gem that I bought while in California last month...

I think this may be why I'm so anxious for summer :)
